Don't Waste Durham is hosting a virtual screening of The #StoryOfPlastic, and will then gather for a panel discussion about ways we can strive to lower our dependence on single-use plastics.
Join us in the virtual screening of “The StoryOf Plastic”: takes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution and the worldwide effect it has on the health of our planet and the people who inhabit it. Spanning three continents, the film illustrates the ongoing catastrophe: fields full of garbage, veritable mountains of trash, rivers and seas clogged with waste, and skies choked with the poisonous emissions from plastic production and processing.
After the screening, participate in an online Q&A panel, July 8th at 6pm with:
Crystal Dreisbach - Don’t Waste Durham
Leigh Williams - Toward Zero Waste
Stacy Glass - ChemFORWARD
Details on the viewing and to register to watch the film can be done here. For more information on how you can get further involved in the conversation, please contact: Kaley Cross / firstname.lastname@example.org
